For your security, Lorne Hotel Glasgow uses a secure commerce server, which encrypts your credit card information, encoding it into a non-usable form.

Credit card information is requested for the purpose of securing the hotel reservation. Your credit card will not be used to automatically collect payment for your hotel stay; it is only used to collect a penalty in the case of no-show or late cancellation. We will not charge your credit card in any way, unless you would like to use it to settle your account or use our express checkout service (see below)

You may cancel your reservation up to 12 o’clock on the day of arrival without incurring any payment, otherwise full payment for the room will be charged on the credit card given.

Check in time is 2pm and check out 11am. For those wishing a later checkout time we can extend your checkout until 1pm for a £25 supplement

Just fill out one of our express check out cards in your room directory folder, or otherwise ask at reception. The only details that are required on the card are your name, room number, billing address and signature. A detailed copy of your statement will be sent to the billing address and charged to your credit card.

Yes, this incurs a £25 charge and allows you to check out up to 1300.

The hotel is approximately 12 miles from Glasgow airport.

No. We can arrange for transfer from the airport to the hotel for a nominal charge, alternatively there are always plenty of taxis available at the airport.

The nearest train station is Exhibition Centre and this is a walk of about 8 minutes from the hotel. This station operates regular train services to and from the city. The train station is connected to the SECC by a covered walkway. The SECC is one of Scotland’s main venues for concerts and other large-scale events and our proximity to it makes the Lorne Hotel the perfect place to stay if you’re in town for a show. The mainline from England comes in to Central Station. This is normally five minutes in a taxi from the hotel though traffic varies throughout the day. Walking takes approximately 20 minutes. No. Car parking is on road at meters, although there is free parking just off Argyle Street but it can be difficult to find a space at times. Parking at a meter will cost; 10p for the first 30 minutes then 10p for every subsequent 10 minutes with a maximum stay of 3 hours. All parking on road at meters is free daily between 1800 and 0800, and all day at weekends.

Yes. Please let us know at the time of booking how old your children are – it helps us making arrangements in advance of your stay. If you need an extra bed or cot in the room it’s important to let us know at the booking stage. There is a charge for supplying extra beds and cots. We also have highchairs for use in the restaurants. Lots of families prefer to have interconnecting rooms – so let us know if this would make things easier for you.

Are rollaway beds/cots available? Yes. Should you require these, please let us know at the time of booking. There is a £10 charge for each extra bed or cot.

 

This depends on what rate or package you have booked. Please check your confirmation. For those on a room only package wishing breakfast it is availabile at £9.95 per person

Standard, superior and suite accommodation are different from each other but you will always have a plasma TV, soft Egyptian linens, warm fluffy towels, toiletries, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, full air conditioning, broadband internet connection and a room directory detailing all hotel facilities. We have various sizes and shapes of rooms at the Lorne. Rooms have double, single, twin, king size, sleigh or four poster beds; though all our rooms have great mattresses to help you to have a good night’s sleep. Some rooms have high pressure power showers, others have baths, and some have two baths. Best thing to do if you are looking for a specific room is to contact our reception/reservation team who will talk you through what we have to offer.

Yes. You are more than welcome to leave your luggage in our secure luggage room while you explore the vibrant West End of Glasgow.

We work with a local car rental firm that offer extremely good rates and will deliver to the hotel. Call reception for further details.

We have and entrance ramp and two lifts. Several of our rooms have been specially designed for wheelchair users.
